Enhanced Travel Options for Women in Ukrainian Trains

Ukrzaliznytsia has announced an expansion of the routes that will feature special women's compartments. Starting from July 25, these carriages will be available on three new routes.

This was reported by the UZ press office.

"Ensuring comfort and safety for our passengers is a top priority, which is why we are expanding the women's compartment project," UZ stated.

The women's compartments will be available on the following trains:

  • № 38/37 Kyiv – Zaporizhia;
  • № 98/97 Kovel – Kyiv;
  • № 22/21 Lviv – Kharkiv.

These compartments are located in carriage № 5 and will start operating from July 25.

In total, women's compartments are now available on 15 trains:

  • № 1/2 Kharkiv – Vorokhta;
  • № 3/4 Zaporizhia – Uzhhorod;
  • № 5/6 Zaporizhia – Yasinia;
  • № 15/16 Kharkiv – Yasinia;
  • № 17/18 Kharkiv – Mukachevo (Uzhhorod);
  • № 22/21 Lviv – Kharkiv;
  • № 26/25 Odesa – Yasinia;
  • № 29/30 Kyiv – Uzhhorod;
  • № 38/37 Kyiv – Zaporizhia;
  • № 41/42 Dnipro – Truskavets;
  • № 43/44 Cherkasy – Ivano-Frankivsk;
  • № 75/76 Kyiv – Kryvyi Rih;
  • № 81/82 Kyiv – Chop (Uzhhorod);
  • № 95/96 Kyiv – Rakhiv;
  • № 98/97 Kovel – Kyiv.

Only women or women traveling with children under 5 years old are allowed in these compartments. The fare in these carriages is the same as in other compartments.
