Warning: Fake Emails from Tax Authorities

The Main Department of the State Tax Service in Odessa is alerting business entities about the issue of fake emails arriving in their inboxes. These emails, purportedly from the Deputy Head of the Tax Service, mention financial assistance of 150,000 UAH for military equipment purchases.

The tax service is not involved with these correspondences. Their purpose is to defraud local businesses and tarnish the reputation of the tax authority.

IMPORTANT! Officials from the Main Department of the Tax Service in Odessa operate strictly within the law and do not send such emails.

The Southern Department of the Anti-Corruption Bureau has already contacted law enforcement regarding these fraudulent activities.

We urge all taxpayers to be vigilant, not to trust suspicious offers, verify information thoroughly, and not to succumb to provocations. Under no circumstances should you transfer any funds!

If you receive such a message, immediately contact the police at 102, or inform the Southern Department of the Anti-Corruption Bureau at the following numbers: (048) 707 29 43, (048) 707 28 54, (048) 725 65 05. You can also call the State Tax Service's “Pulse” service at 0 800 501 007 and provide any information about the fraudsters.
