Fire in Tuzly Limans: Environmental Impact
Recently, a fire broke out in a unique natural area on the western shore of the Khadzhyder liman, within the Tuzly Limans National Nature Park.
This was reported by park staff member, Dr. Ivan Rusev. “
“ Many insects, bird nests, lizards, and ant colonies perished in the incident”, – he wrote.
The total area affected by the fire exceeds 5 hectares.
Currently, the national park's state protection service is investigating the causes of the fire and assessing the damage to the natural reserve.
On the national park's page, it was noted that recently, fires in the area have become more frequent, leading to horrific, and sometimes fatal, consequences.
