"Chance for Life": New Stamp for Donor Day

On the eve of World Blood Donor Day, "Ukrposhta" has released a new stamp titled "Chance for Life", dedicated to all those who donate blood, medical professionals, and volunteers.

"Together with the DonorUA initiative, we want to emphasize: you are the reason hearts keep beating", – stated the company’s press service.

"Ukrposhta" reminded that only during the first week of the full-scale invasion, 25 thousand new donors joined the DonorUA platform, and since 2022, the number of donors has increased fivefold to 200 thousand.

"As we enter the third year of war, when every drop matters, the need for donors remains high. Blood saves the lives of injured soldiers, civilians affected by shelling, women in childbirth with complications, cancer patients, and those with severe burns. Sometimes it is the only hope", – the company added.

The new stamp "Chance for Life" is called a symbol of "a drop that becomes a sea, and kindness that turns into a chance."

"This is our gratitude and an important reminder: your drop of blood is someone’s future. If you are healthy and willing to help – join us! Becoming a donor is easy, and it gives a chance at life", – emphasized the CEO of "Ukrposhta", Ihor Smiliansky.

The stamp features a couple holding a heart and filling it with blood. The artwork was created by Ukrainian artist Liza Markina.

The shortage of donor blood existed in Ukraine even before the full-scale war, but now this issue has become more pressing than ever. Despite medical advancements, there are still no complete blood substitutes. Only we can share it with those in need", – highlighted DonorUA co-founder Iryna Slavin.

The print run of the new stamp is 150 thousand copies, with 20 thousand "First Day" envelopes and 500 presentation folders.

The "Chance for Life" stamp is available at "Ukrposhta" offices and on the company’s website.
