Unveiling the Coin Dedicated to Lyubov Panchenko

On April 15, coinciding with World Art Day, the presentation of a commemorative coin titled “The World of Couture Art: Lyubov Panchenko” took place, celebrating the multifaceted figure of the renowned artist and designer.

This was announced by the National Bank of Ukraine.

The coin “The World of Couture Art: Lyubov Panchenko” has a face value of 10 hryvnias. It is made of 925 silver, with a quality category of “special uncirculated,” having a pure metal weight of 31.1 g and a diameter of 38.6 mm. The coin’s edge is smooth, featuring recessed inscriptions of the metal, its fineness, and the logo of the Banknote and Minting Factory.

The obverse of the coin depicts a stylized portrait of Lyubov Panchenko, framed by elements from her famous work “Buchanskaya Vesna.”

The artist’s gaze, filled with creative energy and freedom, seems to transcend time and space, symbolizing strength and dedication to her ideals. This composition highlights the deep connection between the artist and her homeland.

“Buchanskaya Vesna” is not merely a painting; it is a manifesto of beauty and resilience, as the artist was born and lived in Bucha. This image has forever etched itself in the memory of the city and the hearts of her admirers, becoming a symbol of hope for revival.

The artist is Andriy Sahach, and the sculptor is Volodymyr Demyanyenko.
