Introducing the Updated Subject: National Defense in Odesa Schools
In Odesa, a new subject called "National Defense" has been introduced, marking a significant step in the educational landscape. This subject helps instill a conscious attitude towards safeguarding the nation among the youth.
Students will learn about the importance of safety and preparedness for emergencies. For the first time in Ukraine, Odesa has established 8 state-of-the-art centers equipped with everything necessary for training.
Students from various schools will have the opportunity to learn under the guidance of experienced educators who possess both academic credentials and real-life experience in challenging situations.
High school students will be taught how to respond in emergencies and provide basic first aid. Moreover, the classes will cover modern warfare techniques.
«In a context where we are neighboring a terrorist state, these skills and knowledge are crucial for every Ukrainian», - emphasized Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.
