New Children's Center Opens in Bessarabia

A new daycare facility, «Bessarabian Fortress», is set to open in the village of Bessarabia. This center will serve as a safe haven for children aged 5 to 14 from large, displaced, and vulnerable families, as reported by the Bessarabian village council of the Bolgrad district.

At the center, children will have opportunities not only to play and learn but also to engage with psychologists and speech therapists, prepare for school, and make new friends—all in a gadget-free environment.

This initiative is being implemented with the support of the international charitable organization SOS Children's Villages Ukraine, under the «Emergency Assistance Program», in partnership with the NGO «Democracy Culture» and the Bessarabian village social services center.

While children are cared for by educators, parents will have the chance to focus on their own needs—such as finding employment, visiting a doctor, or addressing other concerns.

The center will also hold special meetings for parents to help them better understand their children, support them, and build trusting relationships.

«Bessarabian Fortress» represents a vital step towards a stronger community through caring for children and their futures.
