Vaccination Initiative at Odessa Bread Factory: Protecting Against Dangerous Diseases
This week, over two days, medical staff from Primary Health Care Center No. 16 conducted an outreach vaccination drive against diphtheria and tetanus for employees of Odessa Bread Factory No. 4.
A total of 75 workers received vaccinations to protect against diphtheria and tetanus.
The Odessa City Health Department continues its active efforts to provide additional vaccinations against whooping cough, diphtheria, and tetanus, as part of a plan initiated by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine to ensure epidemiological safety.
Currently, around 84% of children eligible for vaccinations have been immunized according to the additional immunization plan. Vaccinations against diphtheria and tetanus are necessary not only for children but also for adults, who need to be revaccinated every 10 years to maintain protection against these serious diseases.
During wartime, the coverage of preventive vaccinations to prevent the rapid spread of infectious diseases is a matter of national security and public health.
The City Health Department reminds organized groups about the possibility of arranging free outreach vaccinations against diphtheria and tetanus.
Qualified medical professionals carry out these outreach vaccinations, and all vaccines meet quality certification standards, being stored and transported under proper temperature conditions.
Any interested organizations wishing to ensure the health of their employees and arrange outreach vaccinations against diphtheria and tetanus can fill out the registration form or contact the Health Department via email at dep.oz@omr.gov.ua or by phone at (048) 753 14 36, (048) 753 15 75.
