New LED Crosswalks Installed in Odesa
Seven new crosswalks featuring LED lighting have been established in Odesa at the following locations:
- 55 Simyi Glodan St. (Ilfa and Petrov);
- 24 Architect St.;
- 44/1 Yevhen Chykalenko St. (Ak. Williams) - Officer St.;
- 178/1 Yevhen Chykalenko St. (Ak. Williams);
- Melnytska St. - Mykhailivska St.;
- Bohdan Khmelnytsky St. - Prokhorovskyi Lane;
- 15 Starosinna Square.
Specialists from the Municipal Enterprise “SMEP” continue to work on improving traffic safety. As of January 1, 2024, there are 75 uncontrolled crosswalks equipped with LED lighting systems under the management of “SMEP”.
These LED lighting systems enhance the visibility of pedestrians during twilight and nighttime, allowing drivers to better notice them on the roadway, significantly improving the safety of all road users.
