Renovation of the Building on Prince Volodymyr Great Avenue: Progress Updates

The city of Odesa has commenced a large-scale capital repair of a nine-story residential building on Prince Volodymyr Great Avenue, 134 (Dobrovolskogo), which was damaged by a kamikaze drone in March 2024.

The contractor is responsible for dismantling the damaged structures, removing debris, restoring walls, ceilings, roofing, drainage systems, and improving the surrounding area among other tasks.

At this stage, initial emergency measures have been undertaken to reinforce existing parts of the structure.

As of now, strengthening and securing the remaining reinforced concrete elements for further use has been completed. Specifically, the building's wall has been stabilized and secured to the ceiling slabs.

The completion of the capital repair is expected by December 31, 2026.

It should be noted that in March 2024, a special meeting of the Odesa City Council's executive committee approved the demolition of 18 apartments in this building, which were deemed uninhabitable.
