Major Repair of Coastal Reinforcement in Arcadia
Starting September 3, 2025, major repairs will commence on the coastal reinforcement and landscaping elements from Novoberezhna St., 90/51 to Arcadia Beach, 10.
To ensure safety during the coastal work, bike and pedestrian traffic will be TEMPORARILY restricted along the Health Trail from Traverse No. 2 to the «Marine Symphony» residential complex, with appropriate signs installed.
Traffic will be redirected from Arcadia Alley along the upper level of the embankment, further leading to the Health Trail (as per the scheme).
Currently, the coastal reinforcement is failing to protect the area due to the impact of the Black Sea waves. The integrity of the concrete structures has been compromised, leading to the erosion of the foundation.
Work will be conducted in sections of 30-50 meters, with the transportation of materials taking place at night (from 9 PM to 8 AM).
According to the contract with the contractor, the planned completion date for the work is December 31, 2026, but may be finished by the end of May 2026, provided there are no extreme weather conditions during the winter.
