Funding Allocated for House Restoration in Odesa
The extraordinary session of the Odesa City Council has decided to allocate funding to the Department of Municipal Services for conducting technical inspections and urgent repairs in buildings affected by enemy attacks.
This primarily concerns a building at 3 Oleksandra Kutuzakiia Street, where the structures from the fifth to the eighth floors were completely destroyed due to a strike, and supporting walls, staircases, and ceilings were damaged.
According to preliminary findings from experts at the Odesa State Academy of Construction and Architecture, part of the building has been declared hazardous. All residents have been evacuated and offered temporary accommodation with relatives or in municipal facilities.
The building is under constant guard to prevent accidents and property loss.
Funding has also been allocated for the restoration of other affected sites.
“We are trying to act as quickly as possible, within all procedures established by law. We are in constant contact with affected families and doing everything to provide the necessary assistance on time. I thank the parliamentary corps for their quick response and support of this important decision,” said Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov.
The decision was adopted unanimously.
