Odesa Under Attack: Aftermath and Recovery Efforts
On the night of July 18 to 19, the enemy launched another massive drone attack on the city of Odesa.
The strike caused damage to residential buildings, civilian infrastructure, and vehicles. Unfortunately, there have been casualties, including a woman who was rescued but later died.
The municipal services of Odesa, together with district administrations, are actively working to mitigate the consequences of this enemy shelling.
Specialists from the «JKS «Cheryomushki», «JKS «Vuzivskyi», «City Roads», and «City Green Trust» are urgently boarding up shattered windows in damaged buildings with protective film and plywood, clearing debris, and ensuring the cleaning of adjacent areas.
Currently, it is known that the shockwave damaged 138 windows in apartments and entrances, as well as 12 balcony blocks. A total of 21 cubic meters of debris has been removed.
About 200 municipal service workers and heavy special equipment (12 units) are involved in the recovery efforts: 3 aerial lifts, 4 dump trucks, 2 excavators, 2 street sweepers, and 1 tractor.
