Accessibility Conference in Odesa
On December 6, 2024, Odesa will host the event titled «Odesa for Everyone».
The conference aims to unite local authorities and businesses to
develop an accessible environment in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
This is a crucial issue identified by the National Tourism Organization of Ukraine as a priority for 2024. Despite the challenges posed by wartime, Odesa continues to welcome both domestic and international tourists, making it essential to focus on infrastructure accessibility and inclusivity in tourism.
A special guest at the forum will be Oleksandr Budko (nickname Teren), a Ukrainian soldier, veteran of the Russo-Ukrainian war, public figure, athlete, and author. He lost both legs during the counteroffensive in the Slobozhansky region in 2022 but remains active in public life, advocating for inclusion and veteran support. Oleksandr is a medalist of the «Invictus Games - 2023» in swimming and the author of the autobiography «The Story of a Stubborn Man».
Representatives from hotels, restaurants, museums, theaters, medical facilities, and tour guides, as well as anyone interested in developing an inclusive environment, are invited to participate in the conference.
