Trial Begins in Odesa for Spy Providing Enemy with Military Intelligence

A trial has commenced in Odesa for an individual accused of spying on air defense systems and the "Lut" assault brigade. The man is charged with treason.

This was reported by the Odesa regional prosecutor's office.

Law enforcement established that the accused willingly cooperated with a Russian military intelligence officer, collecting information about the locations of temporary bases of the combined assault brigade of the National Police "Lut" and the deployment sites of mobile air defense fire groups in Odesa.

"The informant transmitted materials with geographical coordinates through drafts in email accounts to enable the enemy to adjust missile strikes and drone attacks.

The Odesa resident was arrested at the end of August 2024 while carrying out another assignment. He awaits trial in custody," the statement said.
