Ukrainian Fencers Make History: European Champions!
For the first time in history, Ukrainian fencers have claimed the title of European champions!
In the women's team foil final at the continental championship held in Genoa, Italy, the Ukrainian team confidently defeated Switzerland, 45:34.
The gold medalists are: Olena Kryvytska, Anna Maksymenko, Inna Brovko, and Vlada Kharkova.
In the semifinals, under the guidance of coach Bohdan Nikishin, they triumphed over the host team, the Olympic champions of 2024, Italy, with a score of 45:27, who ultimately took home the bronze.
