Youth Basketball Championship Concludes in Ternopil
The youth basketball championship reached its climax in Ternopil with the conclusion of the «final six» for boys born in 2012.
The final match featured teams from Dnipro's SDYUSSHOR-5 and Uzhgorod-ZODYUSSH.
The reigning champions, SDYUSSHOR-5, remained undefeated throughout the season and secured a convincing win in the final, defeating their opponents 96:58.
In the match for third place, the Odessa team SDYUSSHOR named after B.D. Litvak triumphed over the Cherkasy region team, «Cherkasy Monkeys», with a score of 71:62. Ivan Vasilyev from the Odessa team, who made it to the symbolic best team of the season, scored 30 points.
The athletes were coached by Igor Solovey, Valery Balashov, and Vladislav Yanaki.
In the specialized out-of-school educational institutions of Odessa, 394 young athletes are engaged in basketball.
