On July 4, 2025, in Odesa, at VETERANS HUB ODESA, a ceremony was held to announce the winners of the city children's drawing contest «Guardians of the Sea – Loyal, Brave, Strong,» dedicated to the Day of the Naval Forces of Ukraine.

The goal of the contest was to cultivate national consciousness, creativity, patriotism, and love for the homeland among children and youth.

The children's drawing contest was held among students from general secondary and extracurricular educational institutions in Odesa across three age categories: 6-10, 11-14, and 15-18 years old.

The jury has determined the winners who received certificates from the Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and valuable prizes.

Age category 6-10 years:

1st place - Maksym Pokholchuk, a student of the Odesa City Palace of Children and Youth Creativity (leader - Larysa Bazhanova);

2nd place - Mykhailo Cheban, a student of the Odesa House of Children and Youth Creativity «Dominanta» (leader - Khrystyna Nechyporuk);

3rd place - Daria Shevchenko, a student of the Odesa House of Children and Youth Creativity «Tonika» (leader - Oksana Tkachuk).

Age category 11-14 years:

1st place - Mykhailo Banakh, a student of Odesa Lyceum No. 63 (leader - Yuliya Sidorova);

2nd place - Kasapien Yaroslav, a student of Odesa Gymnasium «South Ukrainian» (leader - Oksana Smetanyuk);

3rd place - Tetiana Vyhornytska, a student of Odesa Lyceum No. 72 (leader - Stela Yavetska).

Age category 15-18 years:

1st place - Mykyta Barmalyuk, a student of Odesa Lyceum No. 63 (leader - Yuliya Sidorova);

2nd place - Anastasia Syvopliasova, a student of the Odesa House of Creativity «Tonika» (leader - Lina Bezprozvanykh);

3rd place - Zlata Yusypenko, a student of the Odesa Center for Children and Youth Creativity «Promin» (leader - Hanna Buialska).

The event was organized by the command of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the support of the Department of Education and Science of the Odesa City Council.
