Emergency Situation in Odesa: Fires Amidst Heatwave

In the past week, more than 350 fire incidents have been recorded in the ecosystems and open areas of Odesa.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service.

Odesa is experiencing an unusual heatwave, which has led to a significant rise in fires in both ecosystems and open territories.

Daily, our firefighters respond to dozens, sometimes over a hundred calls to extinguish these fires.

Working under difficult conditions: in high temperatures, with heavy gear, and without breaks, they combat the consequences of human negligence, striving to prevent the flames from destroying the land and homes, and to protect both nature and people.

According to the State Environmental Inspection of the Southwestern District, the environmental damage amounts to over 26 billion hryvnias! These are not just numbers - these are losses that cannot be restored! All of this is due to human indifference, an unextinguished match, a cigarette butt, or the 'tradition' of burning dry grass.

We once again urge everyone to be responsible and stop burning our country!
