Kyivstar Enhances My Kyivstar App for Users with Visual Impairments
Kyivstar has made significant enhancements to its My Kyivstar mobile application for visually impaired users. The app now fully supports screen reading technologies — TalkBack for Android and VoiceOver for iOS.
To create a truly inclusive interface, the Kyivstar team conducted comprehensive adaptations: they configured proper element narration, added text descriptions for graphics, and implemented voice prompts for input fields, checkboxes, and buttons to provide essential information for understanding the interface.
The quality of this adaptation has been validated by an independent review from Access Lab, a company specializing in digital accessibility. Their experts provided recommendations that have already been partially implemented in the updated version of the app.
This update also reflects the company's conscious European approach to digital inclusivity, as it aligns with the European Accessibility Act requirements.
Thanks to these enhancements, visually impaired users can independently manage their telecom services: recharge their accounts, check balances, and connect to home internet and other services.
