A cutting-edge fibrogastroscope has been launched at the consulting and diagnostic center No. 6 in Odesa.

The device features chromoscopy modes that enable assessment of mucosal conditions and early detection of cancer, as well as diagnosing gastritis, ulcers, and other gastric pathologies, including the removal of foreign bodies.

Thanks to the modern video processor, the doctor receives a clear and high-quality image during examinations.

The processor allows for photo and video recording, enabling the documentation of pathological changes in the stomach, esophagus, or duodenum for determining subsequent treatment strategies for patients.

Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (gastroscopy) in Odesa's medical facilities is provided free of charge under the state medical guarantee program based on an agreement with the National Health Service of Ukraine.

Last year, over 24,500 procedures were performed in the city's medical establishments. It is recommended that individuals over 50 undergo scheduled gastroscopies even in the absence of complaints.

Medical institutions in Odesa are equipped with modern diagnostic tools for conducting esophagogastroduodenoscopy. This service is available on an outpatient basis with a referral from a family or treating physician.
